Season two in numbers

2.8 tonnes per hectare on average, the highest of any region in 2024. Intervals narrowed from season one as the second sampling round confirmed the trend.

The wet winter was the only surprise: two paddocks on the floodplain stayed waterlogged into April and lost sward.

What the passes showed

Sward recovery scored above 85 percent on 36 of 38 farms by the June pass.

The number improved because the sampling did, not because the grass did.

The two paddocks we restated

Both on the floodplain, both back in the plan for 2026 with a later turnout date.

  • Paddocks 14 and 22 restated in Q1 2025
  • Tonnes moved to buffer, not reversed
  • Growers notified the week we found it

What changes

Floodplain paddocks get a later turnout date in the plan and a spring pass before any forecast is shown.
