Where it happens
Four regions carry most of the tonnes

42,000 ha
Danube Lowlands
Wheat and sunflower rotations moving to reduced tillage with cover crops.

310,000 ha
Mato Grosso
Soy and maize on large holdings, no-till with second-crop cover.

9,800 ha
Rift Valley
Smallholder coffee with shade trees, 2,400 farms paid through the co-op.

2,100 ha
Alentejo
Vineyards and olive groves with managed ground cover between rows.
What we got wrong
Three misses, all published
Every restatement is logged with the cause and the fix. Buyers are notified before this page changes.
Q3 2023
Baseline cores too shallow on sandy soils
We sampled 0 to 30 cm across the Saxony sites. Sandy profiles store carbon deeper, so 2022 tonnes there were overstated by 6%. Restated and buffer drawn.
Q1 2024
Cloud cover gaps in Alentejo imagery
Three winter passes were lost to cloud, and the gap-filling model drifted. We now flag any field with fewer than four clean passes a season.
Q4 2024
Payout timing missed on 112 contracts
A registry delay pushed 112 grower payouts past 30 days. We paid interest at the contract rate and moved to weekly batch issuance.
