What was accepted

Puro.earth has accepted the Canopis v3.1 sampling plan for the fourteen Alentejo estates. The plan stratifies by soil depth and slope, with a minimum of six cores per stratum and depth-split cores on stony soils.

The acceptance covers the baseline taken in 2025 and the re-measure planned for autumn 2026.

What it means for the estates

First issuance is now possible after the second sampling round, with no further method review.

A method that survives a stony vineyard will survive most fields.

Next steps

Three things happen before issuance.

  • Autumn 2026 re-measure on all fourteen estates
  • Independent VVB review of samples and passes
  • Issuance and payout within 30 days of verification

Thanks

To the estate managers who walked the stony rows with us, and to the Puro.earth methodology team for a review that asked the right questions.
