About the role
Grow the Rift Valley programme from twelve co-ops to thirty, and make sure every payout reaches the grower it was issued for.
Smallholder programmes fail on the last mile. You will own the relationship with each co-op, the payout process and the enrolment of the next eighteen co-ops across Kenya and northern Tanzania.
What you will do
- Lead enrolment conversations with co-op boards and field officers
- Run the quarterly payout process and the grower statement review
- Hire and manage the Rift Valley field agronomists
- Represent Canopis with county governments and NGO partners
What you bring
- Seven years in agricultural co-ops, development finance or agri-business in East Africa
- Experience managing field teams across several counties
- Fluent Swahili and English
- A record of programmes that paid people on time
